Provisional annual result for 2001 Sales revenues increase
to 118 million euro Positive development in fourth quarter
Düsseldorf, January 23, 2002 -
ESSANELLE HAIR GROUP AG increased its sales revenues by 9.3%, to 118 million euro, in the 2001 business year; this follows on from a figure of some 108 million euro in the previous year. Sales were thus slightly higher than November's revised forecast of 117 million euro. Thanks to a good fourth quarter, ESSANELLE HAIR GROUP AG was thus able to offset some of the effects of the weak third quarter.
On the earnings side, in the fourth quarter the ESSANELLE HAIR GROUP was able to counter the developments in the previous quarter, again posting a slightly positive result. This was made possible by higher sales revenues and the initial effects from the cost reduction measures. In line with the provisional annual result, the loss before taxes will be somewhat better than the 3.1 million euro forecast in November. The final annual results will be published at the beginning of April.
